Continuous Professional Development for Teacher Educator Development in Myanmar Education Colleges

This article reports on the role of teacher education in curriculum reform basic Myanmar. There was political change Myanmar, a transition from military administration to democracy 2010. Political impacts various sectors such as economic, and health. As system changed meet international standards, were updated. In previous Myanmar that has progressed old monastic current modern education, there never been framework although syllabi, textbooks, teacher’s guides with different teaching methods assessment forms designed used. Therefore, Ministry Education is now implementing educational reforms by setting direction National Law (Soe, et al.; 2017, Htet, 2020). paper provides an overview reforms. Although including three institutions cooperates implementation new curriculum, it found are still few weaknesses education. Soe al. (2017) recommended will fulfill local needs circumstances discourage practice rote-learning ensure students grow independent thinkers their own sense creativity.
